Estimator

We are seeking an individual to become an integral part of our Sales Team! The successful candidate will be the first line of customer interaction on new and existing projects and must be willing to accept a challenge of working with very diverse manufacturing disciplines!

 

Responsibilities

  • Computing costs factors that go into AGC proposals.
  • Interact extensively with AGC Engineering, Production and Purchasing Teams.
  • Communicate with suppliers in the obtaining of costs and lead-times.
  • Correspond with our customers Purchasing and Engineering Departments as it relates to pertinent proposal data.
  • Compile all related information including the initial Bill of Operations, Labor Standards, Bill of Materials, Supplier Costs and Tooling in the preparation of a proposal.

 

Requirements

  • The ability to read and understand aerospace drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and familiarity in the use of MRP systems.
  • A technical degree is not necessary but experience with manufacturing processes is! Preferably in the aerospace arena.
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, bonding, rubber, plastic and urethane molding is preferred. If you are not experienced in all of these disciplines, AGC is willing to train as necessary.
  • Knowledge of material properties and testing is a plus.

Manufacturing Manager

We are seeking a Manufacturing Manager to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers who are responsible for the forming, machining and fabrication of metal parts, components and assemblies for the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams
  • Oversee the manufacturing processes for various metal products from a variety of materials.
  • Manage the production flow of products from receipt of material through customer delivery.
  • Active engagement in Gemba walks, 6S and Continuous Improvement on the shop floor.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
  • Managing, scheduling, and customer/employee interaction for the fabrication of formed and machined parts, components and assemblies made out a variety of metal materials

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of production tools and equipment
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a fast pace manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience using MRP software with knowledge in the full range of Microsoft tools
  • Experience in the forming and machining of metal parts and components highly preferred.

Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager

We are seeking a Quality/Continuous Improvement Manager to join our team! You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers who are responsible for the forming, machining and fabrication of metal parts, components and assemblies for the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of incoming, in-process and final inspection of parts, components and assemblies for aerospace related products.
  • Instruct, familiarize and train inspectors in the use of various inspection equipment and processes.
  • Lead internal and external audit activities to support AS9100, Customer and NADCAP requirements and certifications.
  • Supervise assigned direct reports in their day-to-day activities.
  • Interact with Operations and Engineering to ensure the organizations goals are met.
  • Lead and facilitate the Lean and Continuous Improvement activities throughout the facility.

Requirements:

  • BSME in Manufacturing Engineering a Plus.
  • Experience in Process Flow, PFMEA, Root Cause Analysis.
  • Experience with metal forming, machining and composite fabrication of parts.

Maintenance Mechanic

 

Responsibilities

  • Trouble shoot, repair and maintain machines and equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • Service factory systems including plumbing, electrical, hydraulic, heating and other support equipment.
  • Assist as required in the overall maintenance and cleaning of the facility.
  • Monitor and, adjust and document activities in support of systems and processes such as waste water and hazardous material.
  • Perform general preventive maintenance on equipment as required.

Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment maintaining equipment such as power presses, machining equipment and facility.
  • Knowledge of hydraulics a plus
  • Knowledge of manufacturing machine repair a plus.

5 Axis Milling Machine Operator

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
  • Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
  • Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
  • Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
  • Train/Familiarize associates as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a 5 Axis CNC operator
  • Skill in operating 5 Axis CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities.

Second Shift Milling Machine Operator

 

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and adjust CNC Milling Machines to fabricate components for aerospace applications.
  • understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired results by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines perform as required.
  • Prepare test runs and check own work to insure product is fabricated within required specifications.
  • Train/familiarize associates as required.
  • Maintain a 6S work environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a CNC Milling Machine Operator
  • Skill in operating CNC machinery in a fast paced/quick change environment
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities.
